Inventory Management with Zoho Books and Inventory

Inventory Management with Zoho Books and Inventory

We have at our disposal the notion of physical inventory (based on packages and receipts) and accounting inventory (sales and purchase orders).
Inventory manages 3 statuses of Stocks:
1. Stock on hand
2. Committed stock
3. Available for sale
Stock Available for sale = Stock on hand - Committed Stock

Estimates have no impact on the stock. For an Estimate to be taken into account in the Committed stock, it must:
- be accepted by the customer
- converted into a confirmed Sales Order

The physical stock is impacted when the package is created.

When the customer pays his Retainer Invoice, it must be posted as a payment on the invoice linked to the Sales Order.
The "package preparer" can consult the list of Sales Orders. The white, semi-green or green dot in the invoice column shows him which Sales Orders can be sent (see screenshot in the appendix).

Accounting: the management account is satisfied with the inventory Accounting Stock and the adjustments made. The Books & Inventory programs are adjusted to each other.
